This world’s work, inside the deen: why Mumin Business Mindset started

The question behind the series, how the chapters are built, and what comes next.

The question was simple, but nobody seemed to have answered it in one place: where do business and the work of this world actually sit inside the deen?

Most of what’s out there falls into two camps. Secular business content talks endlessly about scale, growth and margins while treating halal and haram as beside the point. Religious content talks about honesty and trustworthiness, but in terms so general that a shop owner can’t tell what to change the next morning.

The person in the middle

Between the two is an entrepreneur who is afraid of getting it wrong. They know riba is forbidden, but they aren’t sure about the business loan, the late-payment penalty on instalments, or the fixed deposit holding idle cash. They know deception is forbidden, yet nobody has drawn the line where “a bit of marketing” turns into it.

Mumin Business Mindset is written for that person.

How it’s written

Each chapter opens with an ayah or hadith, moves to a business concept, tests it against a case from history, and closes with three steps you can try in your own business.

There’s one rule for references: every ayah and hadith gets checked against its original source before publication. Unsourced religious claims don’t get in.

What’s next

Volume 1, Basirah's Light, arrives on 12 November, inshaAllah, with 34 chapters, as a free PDF in Bangla. Alongside it, this site carries 20 tools, from a zakat calculator to a shura meeting template, all usable without signing up.

Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter. (Surah al-Baqarah 2:201)

Asking for good in this world is part of the dua. The question is which road we take to get it.
