Zakat calculator
Hanafi method, business assets included. Everything is calculated on this device and nothing is sent anywhere.
Before you calculate
- In the Hanafi school, zakat is due on all gold and silver, including jewellery that is worn.
- Your home, personal car, shop premises, machinery and office furniture are exempt; stock held for sale is not.
- Zakat falls due once a full lunar year (hawl) passes over wealth at or above nisab.
- The Hanafi school adds gold, silver, cash and trade goods together by value to check nisab.
- Nisab: gold 7.5 vori (87.48 g), silver 52.5 vori (612.36 g). 1 vori = 11.664 g.
This is a calculation aid, not a fatwa. If you have a partnership, long-term loans or complex investments, speak to a mufti.
